HELPING YOU SQUASH HUNGER
There is a hefty variety of Winter Squash. Some of the most common names are butternut squash, acorn squash, Zucchini squash, and the famous October mascot Mr. Pumpkin!
Not only do these delectable delicacies come in numerous shapes, sizes, and colors, but they also have a multitude of health benefits! All Winter Squash are high in alpha-carotene and beta-carotene, which converts to Vitamin A in the body. Other benefits include Vitamin C (our bodies winter must-have), fiber, Anti-oxidants, anti-inflammatory, and polysaccharides (blood sugar regular).
Winter Squash can be prepared in many ways; It can be baked, boiled, or even steamed. With all of these preparation options, we decided to survey our AXIOS team members and share some of our favorite holiday dishes with you!
